Casino bonuses, checked rather than copied

Bonus figures are the most fabricated numbers in this industry. Every offer below was read off the operator's own promotions page on a recorded date — and where we could not read one, we say so.

Every verified offer we currently hold

Read from the operator's own site or the landing page their sign-up link leads to, on 17 September 2026.

Partner links — we may earn a commission. 18+. T&Cs apply. Gambling is addictive.

Verified offers outside the ranked list

These operators are not in our ranked list — some are partners we deliberately do not rank, others we have no commercial relationship with at all. We read each offer below off the operator's own page anyway, because a verified figure is worth having whether or not we earn from it.

Where a brand is marked "not a partner" we earn nothing from it and have no route to send you there — the call to action on its review opens Hollywoodbets instead, and says so. See the directory.

How to read a casino bonus in thirty seconds

There are only three numbers that matter and the headline is not one of them. Find the match percentage, the ceiling, and the wagering multiplier, in that order, and you will know what an offer is worth before you finish reading the banner.

The match percentage tells you how far your money stretches. The ceiling tells you the point past which depositing more gains you nothing. The wagering multiplier tells you how much play stands between the bonus and your bank account. An offer with a spectacular headline and a 50x multiplier is worse than a modest one at 20x, and the industry relies on nobody checking.

One more habit worth forming: check whether the wagering applies to the bonus alone or to bonus plus deposit. The second is roughly twice the work for the same money, and it is a single word's difference in the terms.

Where the rand matters more than the bonus

A point we make repeatedly on this site because it is repeatedly ignored: if a casino converts your currency, the spread on the way in and the way out will usually cost more over a year than the difference between a good bonus and an average one. Eight of the nine casinos we rank hold balances in rand. Start there, then compare offers. Our guide to rand casinos sets out why.

Bonus questions

What does "wagering requirement" actually mean?

It is the number of times you must stake the bonus (sometimes bonus plus deposit) before any winnings can be withdrawn. A R1,000 bonus at 30x wagering means R30,000 must pass through your account first. This single number determines whether a bonus is worth taking, and it is almost never in the headline.

Is a bigger bonus always better?

No — and the difference is structural. A percentage match suits a small deposit, while a high rand ceiling only helps if you were depositing thousands anyway. A 300% match on R200 gives you R800 to play with; "up to R11,500" gives you nothing extra unless you deposit accordingly. Match the structure to your own deposit, not to the biggest number.

Can I withdraw a no-deposit bonus?

Rarely in full. No-deposit credit almost always carries a maximum cashout on top of the wagering requirement, so treat it as a free look at the casino rather than a route to a payout. That is still worth having — it lets you test the lobby and the withdrawal process with nothing at risk.

Why do some casinos here have no bonus listed?

Because we could not verify one. We read welcome offers off the operator's own page and print the date we checked. Where a site geo-blocked us or served its promotion dynamically, we leave the figure blank rather than copy a number from elsewhere. See how we rate.
